FRAGRANT LAKE
Today, the “distant places”, if defined geographically, are never far away anymore, but the “poetic places” for mind and body are difficult to find. The designers bear such poetic touch in their hearts and regard them as incremental experience for “the 25th hour”. People can get rid of the routine schedule, which has been repeating day after day, and feel the extension of time through the sensory relax. As the experience adds on, the fragments become a whole. At FRAGRANT LAKE Lifestyle & Art Pavilion, a slow-paced cultural and social space is created. Situated in a small town in the north of Wuhan, the project comes with spectacular natural landscape and the one-hour urban life circle. The “distance” is delicately arranged, right there for your mind and body to have the proper rest. The designers, on the premise of showing respect, sticks to the essence of space given by nature and time. Therefore, it’s vibrant. No matter how people’s view towards beauty may change, the space will always glow because of its sincerity and simplicity. The communication streamline and the division of space inside, to some extent, connects different indoor spaces based on their “paths and roles”. Plus, there are green plants guiding along the way, as if they are ribbons linking to all the functional space in this project. That’s why we can have the green landscape “surrounding” the people, and the building, the boundaries, and the indoor spaces are just naturally integrated with each other. The symbiosis is formed to cater to human emotions, natural expressions, and the needs of the architecture. In a broader sense, it reflects the complicated ideal and vision of modern cities, which is about nostalgia, needs, and peaceful minds.
