Grass and wood time and shade
The project is located in an old residential area and has been renovated from an old single story apartment. We have chosen this site as a new office space. Due to the fact that the project itself is very old, but the internal beam and column structures cannot be dismantled and rebuilt, we have weighed the trade-offs between preservation and reconstruction, and ultimately presented it as a "sedimentation place" with avant-garde geometric appearance. In addition to the preservation of the original structure, the original structure is also preserved inside, After more than a decade of use, the marble floor has mostly retained its original state on the walls, except for minor adjustments. Only through the treatment of surface art paint, it presents a brand new sense of space. Under the premise that the structure of this case is relatively unique and cannot be dismantled, we can only exert force through the treatment of color, movement line, and light. Entering the garden through a small door from the outdoors, we reach the reception space on the first floor, which extends downwards into a sunken tea tasting space. We use hollow grilles on the partitions, which can be fully opened to form a coherent and spacious space structure when there is no need for visitors. When used, it can also bring a relatively private state without affecting the intake of light. The upper half level is a collective office space, and further up, there are three relatively independent office areas and terraces. For the overall direction of the space, we hope to introduce natural sunlight through large windows, achieve a harmonious and leisurely atmosphere through soft decoration, convey our own values and aesthetic trends, and resolve the boredom of office space. We believe that space has its own age and will also age, and how to create new vitality in old spaces is the direction that design needs to consider. Proper preservation, on the other hand, adds a sense of era to the building and endows it with a charm worth savoring. We marvel that the marble floor more than a decade ago still conforms to the current aesthetic; Also moved by the new texture details.
