The Qingzhou project is located in Xuhui District, Shanghai, and is a renovation project of an old house that integrates Song Dynasty elements. The owner, a middle school teacher, purchased this old building, which had been used as a warehouse and left vacant for many years, out of a love for old houses. The designer of ZIHOME, proposed a renovation plan that combines modern simplicity with classical aesthetics to create a unique living space. The highlights of the renovation include: 1. A blend of classical and modern exterior: Using a cyan jade table, white walls with black tiles, and black stair railings to showcase the charm of the Jiangnan water town. 2. Improved indoor lighting: Opening up sealed windows and adding floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights to bring in natural light. 3. Flexible space: Transforming the kitchen into a multifunctional living room to enhance spatial flexibility. 4. Extensive greening inside and outside: Such as maple trees, green plant decorations, and flower beds, injecting vitality into the old house. The Qingzhou project is an exploration of the integration of tradition and modernity, bringing a new living experience to the owner and adding cultural charm to the Hengfu style area of Shanghai.
