SANJ设计团队修复改造了老城区的一栋老骑楼建筑，打造了‘设计工作室+社区咖啡店’的新商业组合模式，为本地社群提供一个新的聚点。设计希望和原住民共同参与都市更新，延续传承都市的文化发展和历史记忆。 设计尊重原建筑的历史风貌，保留原始建筑结构和墙体让人们体验新功能的同时感受骑楼的历史生活面貌。空间内使用了本地古民居常用的本地花岗岩石材还有红砖元素，唤醒人们对传统材料和工艺的重视。 除了顶楼的设计办公区外，其它楼层空间都作为开放空间去满足本地社群互动交流的功能使用。设计希望利用一楼临街咖啡厅吸引本地居民聚集于此，并在二楼社区文化共享空间组织不同的社群活动分享城市影像和物件，交流传播老城区的历史和文化。
The SANJ design team restored and renovated an old shophouse building in the old town to create a new business combination model of 'design studio + community coffee shop' to provide a new gathering point for the local community. The design hopes to participate in the urban renewal with the indigenous people and continue the cultural development and historical memory of the city. The design respects the historical style of the original building and retains the original building structure and walls so that people can experience the new function while feeling the historical life of the arcade. Local granite stone and red brick elements commonly used in local ancient residential houses are used in the space, awakening people's attention to traditional materials and crafts. In addition to the design workplace on the top floor, the other floor spaces are used as open spaces to meet the function of local community interaction. The design hopes to use the street cafe on the first floor to attract local residents to gather here, and organize different community activities in the community cultural sharing space on the second floor to share the collections of city's old images and artifacts, exchange and spread the history and culture of the old city.
