Construction Materials: bronze plate, bronze metal net, matte stainless steel, terrazzo, marble, rubble, black walnut, and oak Located in the city center of Shanghai, HIK 9 incorporates an artisanal open kitchen, wine cellar, whisky lounge and dry-aging room into the Front-of-House design to provide a window into the personalized culinary creative process and uses seasonal ingredients themselves as the design focal points of the venue. Divided into two main spaces, the facility was originally a bicycle parking garage for the building. The featured open kitchen is staged around the dining tables allowing guests to engage and connect directly with chefs during the preparation whilst their cravings for transparency and craftsmanship are also satisfied. The original entry ramp of the garage has now been realized as a professional decadent wine cellar. Adorned with crystal chandeliers, the ornate gallery now displays an exquisite collection of rare and fine wine. As the name suggests, HIK (Hiding in the Kitchen) Provides an unique dining experience with tailored services and within an elegant yet modern private setting. The combination of handcrafted concrete, custom metalwork and art pieces creates a venue for the most demanding clientele worldwide.
