With a passion for the finest things in life, the Founder of our design practice soon realized he could not find a space in Hong Kong to enjoy fine cuisine and wines, rare cigars and art pieces all together at the same time in the same place. This market’s gap provided the unique opportunity to embark in a creative journey and explore a brand-new concept in the buzzing entertainment scene of Hong Kong. Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Central district, the members-only Club C+ is a deluxe private social lounge designed to host the most exclusive clientele in the city. Teeming with a refined sense of luxury, Club C+ expresses itself in all different facets as an ode to elegant sophistication. Members are able to indulge in the limitless world of gastronomic delicacies, fine wines, premier cigars, and extraordinary art pieces, surrounded by the enjoyment of life beyond one’s imagination. Club C+ name itself recalls the meaning of private home in Chinese, crafting a comfortable and deluxe one-stop lifestyle destination where culture elites can savor the finest things in life. Compared to other private clubs in Hong Kong that still embrace a traditional British design approach, Club C+ subtly blends Chinese contemporary elements and British accents to craft a deluxe speakeasy-inspired venue. Generous full-height windows in progressive layers of apricot colour filtered panels exude a retro consciousness into the ambiance; the spatial layout ingeniously distributes the social areas to meet different usage, with mahogany wood sliding panels optimizing the spatial fluidity: when the panels are closed, a Chinese Moon Gate is formed, resembling a pedestrian passageway in traditional Chinese gardens. A lavishly furnished cigar humidor room houses a premiere selection of cigars, with carefully selected B&B Italia furniture pieces and bespoke lighting endowing the setting with a vivid personality.
