Patch-City Pavilion是一个对旧建筑的文化复兴项目。客户挑了一个看似非常不起眼的、原小学遗留的一块地基，想通过建筑师的改造让它变成文化性质的空间，希望用一个灵活的物理空间为中心，给当地居民带来丰富的文化生活，也利用这个空间举办各种公共文化活动，比如讲座、讨论会等等，为当地居民提供一个与外界先锋文化交流的平台。 整个Pavilion是由98个预制模块组成的，主材料只有两种，使用雪佛板和最少量的钢结构组成，可以灵活进行搭配和组合。材料本身具有很强的耐候性，满足长期在室外使用的需求，重量非常轻，无需重型机械安装，只需要少量技术工人和一架轻型吊机就可以在12小时内组装完成。并可以多次再利用其模块，甚至移动到其它场地进行再搭建。
Patch-City Pavilion is a project of cultural renaissance for old buildings. The client wants to transform it into a cultural site, centering around an adaptable physical space. It can be a temporary venue for local residents to carry out diverse activities and be used as a platform for diverse cultural exchange. The Pavilion is composed of 98 preformed modules. Recycled PVC expansion sheet are used as the main material, its light weight enables installation without heavy machine and minimizes the use of steel structures and highly weathering resistant suitable for long-term outdoor use. It can be assembled within 12 hours and the moduals can be easily transported and reconstructed in different form to fit various requirement.
