INNONOW Resort
The project is located in the Nantou Ancient City of Shenzhen. Fusion Design perceives the cultural heritage and applies the concept of cultural fusion to the design of the resort. Therefore, all floors of the INNONOW small building, which is divided into two buildings, were opened up, supplemented by the built-in patio, to enclose the two spaces into one. The patio starts from the top, and along the atrium, the five-storey building is opened step by step to open up the brightness of the space. The various combinations of special-shaped blocks are intertwined with light and shadow, enriching the visual level. The first floor is interspersed with mirrors, projecting multiple interactions between indoor and outdoor, people and the environment. The reception area on the second floor is excavated from the original wall, and the black mirror ceiling paved weakens the visual boundary, echoing the cafe above. The original column, the warm goldleaf, and the multi-materials collide between the old and the new, leaving visitors with thinking propositions about the preservation and renewal of urban culture. The room design focuses more on people's sleeping experience, so more windows are embedded in the space to nourish the sleeping field through sunlight. The half-wrapped headboard has a great sense of design and also gives the sleeper more peace of mind. Changhong glass eliminates the boundaries of vision, and the carved wall artistically modifies the aesthetic perspective and optimizes the spatial structure. The rooftop leaves more space for visitors to feel the history and changes of the ancient city while relaxing.
