作为定位大众消费的川菜品牌，馬鴻興·川小馆将南京第二机床厂河西老厂区的工业遗迹作为新店选址。 JK DESIGN从场地到餐饮体验的整体出发，围绕「低碳环保可持续利用」、「延续工业遗迹集体记忆」、「大众餐饮市井文化」三个维度，采用适应性改造策略，并关注可持续发展，实践将部分材料回收再利用。 餐厅分两层，一层作为餐厅的公共散座区域，而二层空间布置包厢为主。以通高中庭为核心，引入“厅”与“间”的概念。“厅”作传统建筑中的公共空间，具有中心性/聚集性的特征，外化为通高的中庭；“间”作为个体空间注重独立性与私密性，二层空间由4个不同大小的「盒子」包厢围绕中庭呈风车型平面布局，展开了对“间”的探讨，创造独特的空间动线与体验方式。厅与间，上与下，聚拢与分散，公共与私密，构成了独特的市井场域。 整个项目设计始终贯穿新与旧、原始与精致的碰撞和交织。在尊重旧建筑的基础上，改造的部分又与之形成鲜明的对比。设计以耐候钢与老木头为主要材料，并对厅与间的结构与构造节点进行了反复研究与推敲，尽可能消解钢结构的粗矿和厚重的体量感，并赋予其自然的时间性，建立过去与当下的对话，让「就餐」的日常性与城市历史文化再次结合，探索具有当代性的“市井生活图景”。
As a a pioneer in Sichuan cuisine, Ma Hongxing's Chuanxiaoguan has chosen the the Nanjing Second Machine Tool Plant for its new location. JK DESIGN approaches the project holistically, from the site to the dining experience, focusing on three main dimensions: 'low-carbon and sustainable use,' 'continuation of the collective memory of industrial heritage,' and 'popular dining and urban culture.' The design adopts an adaptive reuse strategy and focuses on sustainable development by trying to recycle and reuse some building materials. The entire restaurant has two floors. The first floor serves as an open dining area, while the second floor is primarily private rooms. Centered around a double-height atrium, the design introduce the prototypes of 'hall' and 'room.' The 'hall,' serving as the public space in traditional architecture, is characterized by its centralized and gathering nature, represented by the double-height atrium. The 'room' as enclosed small space, focusing on individuality and privacy, is expressed on the second floor with four private dining boxes of varying sizes arranged around the atrium in a pinwheel layout. This design explores the concept of 'room,' creating unique spatial flow and experience. The hall and room, up and down, centralization and dispersion, public and private, form a distinctive urban living environment. The entire design constantly interweaves and contrasts the new with the old and the original with the refined. The design respects the old building, while the renovated parts form a sharp contrast with it. The design is based on Weathering steel and old wood as the main materials, also refined details and connections of the 'hall' and 'room' have been studied and implemented to mitigate the rough and heavy feel of the steel structure as much as possible. All materials are distressed antique appearance, establishing an intrinsic dialogue with the industrial heritage.This integration brings together the everyday nature of dining with urban history and culture, exploring a contemporary 'market life scene'.
