RUN TO THE FUTURE Boutique
The genderless fashion brand “Run to the Future,” created by independent designers, has opened its first brick-and-mortar store nationwide at Chengdu COSMO, a place known as a "youth magnetic field" that aligns with the brand's rebellious spirit. As the brand's debut location, One Fine Day Studio & Partners aims to present an art experiment on fashion retrospection. The 1980s, an era brimming with individuality and rebellious culture, serves as the perfect backdrop for this exploration. The theme for the first store, “Run to the 1980s,” goes beyond being just a retail space—it offers a sensory journey through time. Here, the brand's philosophy materializes: self-discovery, breaking the norms, and the freedom of escape. Visitors embark on this time-travel journey from the entrance, marked by a futuristic installation called “Escape Detector,” created by British artist Matt Hope. Moving through a retro-inspired office along a narrow corridor, guests encounter a buffer zone designed to break the spatial intensity, before entering four themed fitting rooms: “Bedroom,” “Bathroom,” “Playhouse,” and “Photo Studio.” The experience culminates in a poetic ending at a vintage typewriter installation area. This immersive space serves as a platform for the brand’s narrative on time, space, and self-expression, leaving each visitor with their own "moments of escape." Beginning with a tribute to the 1980s, the journey ultimately leads toward the infinite possibilities of future fashion.
