2020年，米凹工作室迁入新址。最初就在室内的中心位置预留一处“空的空间”，无论去哪——会议、打印、茶水、模型、绘图间等，都可以经过这里。曲线墙面确定空间的外部形状，并使它具有两面性。 空间顶部以长条形的钛锌板层叠覆盖，在灯光下呈现出透明感，似一片“天空”，一处“室外”。功能的不确定预留出“未来”。 入口门厅是项目中为整座建筑“贡献”出的小空间：存在高差的地面由楼梯连接，钢筋混凝土现浇成型，地与空呼应，以手工敲打的方式用钛锌板搭建斜面“屋檐”，配合灯光——这一切回应了建筑楼面自身的玄关结构。 有意思的是，与对门邻居共同使用的一处场地成为米凹办公室的延伸，友邻聚会、小型展览、线下分享、沙龙讲座等活动都可以在此进行。
In the new office of atelier mearc , a piece of integral ‘empty room’ is reserved in the very center that wherever you go, meeting room, printing room, tearoom, model room or drawing room could pass through here. Its curved wall defines the space volume and boundary, creating two sides. The top of the space is covered with layered titanium and zinc panels that with the light effect appears sky-transparency ‘outdoor’. The uncertainty of the function allows for a ‘future’. The entrance on the other hand, is a little space atelier mearc contributes to the building: cement stair steps and the handmade titanium zinc eave together with the lighting, response to the foyer structure of the building. The Interesting thing is, a space shared with its neighbor becomes an extension of the atelier mearc office, where neighborhood gatherings, small exhibitions, networking, salon talks and other activities can take place.
