空间设计借鉴了苏州园林“隔而不隔、界而未界”的造景理念，强调空间（景致）的层次感和渗透性。“隔而不隔”，厨房和卧室之间有墙体分隔，而人的视线却是通透、不受（墙体）阻挡的；“界而未界”，通过不同高度限定地台、走廊和吧台，以建立边界，人在空间中的活动是连续且不被（边界）打断的——这种手法极大地丰富了空间层次，模糊了内外界限，处于一种既分离又联系的平衡状态。设计通过纵横两条轴线高密度结合整个空间：纵轴串联厨房—吧台—卧室—起居空间—阳台，横轴以拱门为界划分厨房和卫生间，通过不同尺度、重复出现的弧形表现空间张力，最终达到紧凑有序，宽敞明亮的空间效果。
The design of space is based on the landscape concept of "Separated but not divided, bounded but not limited" of Suzhou Garden, emphasizing the layering and permeability of the space (scenery). "Separated but not divided", the kitchen and the bedroom are separated by a wall, but the view of people is transparent and not blocked by the wall. "Bounded but not limited", through defining the floor, corridor and bar at different heights to establish boundaries, while people’s activities in the space are continuous without being interrupted by (boundaries) - this technique greatly enriches the spatial levels, blurs the internal and external boundaries, which is in a balanced state of both separation and connection. The design combines the whole space with high density through two vertical and horizontal axes: the vertical axis connects the kitchen - bar - bedroom - living space - balcony; the horizontal axis divides the kitchen and bathroom by the archway, while the spatial tension is expressed through different scales and recurring arcs, finally achieving compact and orderly, spacious and bright space effect.
