听香·汤宴馆诞生于成都市339商业街区，由猛追湾河畔一栋保存完好的旧建筑改造而来。作为新的精神支柱，场地内的旧屋和古树得以保留，经过修补升级后焕发出崭新的生命活力。环绕餐厅周边的城市文脉，“传统”与“现代”的建筑语言不断交替，远眺新潮时尚的339，俯瞰历史厚重的猛追湾，听香利用仿古砖瓦、百叶长窗和郁郁葱葱的植被，用古典中式巧妙融合现代建筑语言，呼应城市区位赋予场地的独特意义，成为链接不同文化的纽带。出于尊重原有环境、减少工程成本的思考，改造顺应了原本的技术性结构空间，八个包房沿着河岸纵向依次展开，使其能保障餐厅套房内的私密性，更好服务于餐厅客人们。室外花园作为室内空间的延伸，也是重要的会面场所，成为建筑及周边的重要元素，给予了建筑更为显眼的场地气质，在整个街道立面中显得更为别具一格。坐在院内的休息的食客，与河畔跑步锻炼的居民，创造了一种耐人寻味的对比。
Located in 339 commercial block, Chengdu, Ting Xiang is repurposed from a well-preserved old building in the Mengzhui Bay Area.Surrounded by a hybrid of traditional and modern buildings, the restaurant overlooks the fashionable 339 commercial complex and Mengzhui Bay with a long history. Through incorporating pseudo-classical tiles, louver windows and lush plants, it subtly combines classical Chinese elements with modern architectural languages, to echo the unique context of the site and establish a bond between cultures. To show respect for the site’s existing environment and reduce the budget, the design conforms to the original structural space. 8 private dining rooms are vertically unfolded along the river embankment, in a way that ensures privacy to enhance dining experience. As an extension of interior space, the outdoor garden provides a gathering place and blends into the architecture and its surroundings. It strengthens the visual identity of the building and stands out along the street. Diners leisurely sitting in the yard and citizens jogging along the river form a fun, contrasting view.
