The foundation of the building is a 1980’s residential house, which is located at the junction of mountain range and scenic village, the back of the building is close to the mountain. The site was the home to the county head. The scene and nostalgia have always been in the client's heart, which brings about this hotel. Chinese traditional buildings usually feature a central well-like atrium. As the facility is narrow on the front and wide at both sides, it is hard to build up the experience and word of mouth with front and back lighting only. Therefore, we adopt the idea of building a well-like atrium to invite light, arrange rooms around, and help the client relive his childhood memory. Without changing its framework, we rebuilt the slabs and walls from the 2nd to 6th floors. The structure of these floors was rearranged around an atrium based on the well idea. The exterior walls of the building were decorated with vertical wooden planks. The lobby on the first floor is based on the concept of an urban living room, matched with travelers' banana green plants, and the furniture uses coffee table low stools to make travelers feel like home. The second to sixth floor is the guest room area. The space uses low-brightness earth colors and white ink colors, and the soft decoration is supplemented by the application of oak, terrazzo, metal and other materials to create a rich gradation of visual change.
