朗诗住宅是一种典型的单间一居室公寓，回应了城市高密度居住需求与商业驱动下小户型的普遍现象。设计旨在打造一个个性化的“庇护所”，最大限度地利用有限空间满足居住者的独特需求。最初，设计团队将睡眠空间构思为一个岩石般的盒子，围绕其布局其他功能，但受限于层高未能实现理想效果。于是，我们放大岩石的概念，整体构思公寓为一处“山体”，而睡眠空间则如同开凿的岩穴，营造出隐秘与宁静的居住氛围。设计灵感还源自西班牙雕塑家爱德华多·奇利达的作品，尤其是他的“光之屋”系列雕塑，运用雪花石膏的轻盈与厚重对比，创造光影与空间的互动。在睡眠区，三面矮墙围合成一个“精神结界”，木质地台将床垫抬高，模拟隐士栖居的安静方式。其他生活功能如厨房、卫生间和就餐区环绕睡眠区布置，通过家具定制和布局的灵活性，打破传统形式，为空间带来趣味和延展感。
Lansdowne Residence is a typical studio one-bedroom flat that responds to the demand for high-density urban living and the prevalence of commercially-driven small homes.The design aims to create a personalised 'sanctuary' that maximises the use of limited space to meet the unique needs of its occupants.Initially, the design team conceived of the sleeping space as a rock-like box around which other functions could be arranged, but this was not possible due to the height constraints.So we enlarged the concept of the rock and conceived the flat as a 'mountain', with the sleeping space as a carved out cave, creating an atmosphere of seclusion and tranquillity.The design is also inspired by the work of Spanish sculptor Eduardo Chillida, especially his "House of Light" series, which uses the contrast between the lightness and heaviness of snowflake plaster to create an interaction between light and shadow and space.In the sleeping area, three low walls form a "spiritual boundary", with a wooden floor that elevates the mattress to simulate the quietness of a hermit's dwelling.Other living functions such as the kitchen, bathroom and dining area are arranged around the sleeping area, bringing a sense of interest and extension to the space through customisation of furniture and flexibility of layout, breaking the traditional form.
